Cinnamon Swirl Coffeecake

Ingredients

1/2c, softenedAnchor Unsalted Butter
1/2c (Topping)Anchor Whipping Cream
1/2c, softened (Topping)Anchor Cream Cheese
3cCake Flour
1 Tbsp.Baking Powder
1 Tsp.Baking Soda
1 1/3cCaster sugar
3 pcsEggs
2 Tsp.Vanilla
1/2cApplesauce
1/2cSour cream
3TbspSpiced filling: Brown sugar
2TbspSpiced filling: Cinnamon powder

How to cook

  1. Preheat oven to 350F. Butter and flour a tube pan or cake pan. Set aside.
  2. Sift all dry ingredients in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cream the butter and the sugar till light and fluffy. Add the eggs and mix till smooth. Add the applesauce and 1/2 c of the sour cream. Alternately add the flour mixture and the remaining sour cream and mix till combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, place 1 cup of the cake batter and add the brown sugar and cinnamon powder. Stir to blend.
  5. Place ½ remaining cake batter into prepared pan. Top with spiced batter filling. Swirl with knife. Top with remaining batter.
  6. Bake 50-60 minutes or until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.

Makes 16 slices
